Also applies: Brand Terms of Use and Clipper Terms of Use · Privacy Policy
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CAMp (Clip Africa Market Place) website, apps, and services (the "Platform"), operated by Prime Lens Studios (Pty) Ltd ("CAMp," "we," or "us"). By visiting the site, registering an account, creating a campaign, submitting clips, or using any feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Separate role-specific terms also apply: Brands and agencies are bound by the Brand Terms of Use, and creators/clippers by the Clipper Terms of Use. Where there is a conflict, the role-specific terms take precedence for that role.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. Creators/Clippers under 18 require parental or guardian consent. You must provide accurate, complete information at registration and keep it updated.
Registration is currently open in South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. Posted campaign content reaches audiences across Africa. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Platform complies with your local laws.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
We may require identity verification (KYC) before granting access to certain features, including payouts and UGC campaigns. Verification may include identity documents, proof of address, bank confirmation, and (for companies) registration documents and director identification.
You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose; (b) submit fake views, bots, or otherwise manipulate view counts or campaign performance; (c) upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, is defamatory, obscene, harmful, or violates any law; (d) harass, threaten, or impersonate another user; (e) attempt to access data or systems you are not authorised to access; (f) reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Platform; or (g) violate Google or Meta advertising or content policies when posting campaign content.
Campaign content posted by creators/clippers on third-party platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels) must also comply with those platforms’ community guidelines and advertising policies.
Brands fund campaigns upfront; budgets are held in escrow before a campaign goes live. Platform fees are applied to the campaign budget before the creator/clipper payout pool is calculated. Current fees: Clipping — 8.5% for verified brands, 10% for non-verified brands; UGC — 12% (verified brands only, minimum CPM 60).
Payments by brands are processed through PayFast. Creator/Clipper payouts run on the 21st of each month for the prior calendar month, subject to KYC verification and a minimum threshold of R300 (SA), ₦30,000 (NG) or GH₵250 (GH).
Detailed financial terms are in the Brand Terms of Use and Clipper Terms of Use.
The Platform, its design, logos, and software are owned by CAMp and protected by intellectual property laws. "CAMp," "Clip Africa Market Place," and related marks are our trademarks.
You retain ownership of content you create and upload. By submitting a clip to a campaign, you grant the brand a licence to use that clip for the campaign purpose, as further described in the Clipper Terms of Use. Brands are responsible for ensuring source material and briefs they provide do not infringe third-party rights.
We moderate content to comply with platform policy and applicable law. We may remove, suspend, or disable access to content or accounts that violate these Terms or applicable Google/Meta advertising policies. Clip review follows a brand-first workflow with a 7-day SLA, after which unreviewed clips auto-advance to admin compliance review.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Google and Meta advertising cookies, only with your consent where required. You can manage your cookie preferences from the banner on the site.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee specific campaign results, view counts, or creator/clipper earnings.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CAMp and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding three months (for brands) or the earnings credited to your wallet in the preceding three months (for creators/clippers).
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, pose a risk to the Platform or its users, or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the Platform ceases; earned payouts that have already been confirmed remain payable in accordance with the Clipper Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of South Africa, except where mandatory consumer or data-protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
